Spreading My Wings

The pandemic years were tough, but it was during that time that I rediscovered my creative spark. Spending so much time at home made me want to do a little redecorating and I finally finished some of rooms in our old Victorian that we completely gutted when we first bought it in 2014. It was a labor of love and a welcome distraction making design boards, pulling pages from magazines and going through my fabrics as inspiration. I dove into the design process -What a great stress-reliever!  

I also started to design again in my studio using my paintings, drawings, photos and fabrics to create functional pieces. Collaborating with a local store, I pushed myself to learn new skills and step out of my comfort zone. This past year our daughter embarked on her college journey and our son started high school in a place that seems to really be a good fit. The kids happiness inspired me to get serious about doing something about my own dreams. 

So like the butterfly that inspired me from the very beginning, I am finally ready to spread my wings again. Although it took longer than expected to launch this website, I am determined to take flight. So go for it! I hope you all take time to find your own passions and embrace the opportunity to spread your wings too.
